From 07-08 November 2014 Prof. Dr. Ziya L. Gokaslan was the 7th Visiting Professor at the Charité. Prof. Gokaslan is the Director of the Spine Center and Professor of Neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore.
He is specialized in removing the most complex spinal tumors.
He performs standard procedures, but he has also developed at least five novel surgeries and has refined a half-dozen others.
Dr. Gokaslan has authored over 250 peer-reviewed papers and has presented over 200 national and international lectures. He was voted one of the “Best Doctors in America” since 2005 and garnered Baltimore magazine’s Top Doctors recognition since 2007.
