Tourist Attractions
Nestled in amongst Waterkloof Ridge, Waterkloof Heights and Newlands, Erasmuskloof lies on the other side of the N1 from Waterkloof, Erasmuskloof is one of the newer South Eastern suburbs of Pretoria. Faerie Glen Nature Reserve and its accompanying Plumbago tea garden are a welcome respite over weekends. Just to the south of Lynwood Road, this is a wonderful venue at which to sit a while and spot the odd crested barbet, canary or hammerkop. And there are a couple of hikes to get the blood pumping too. Similarly, the National Botanical Gardens are just on the other side of Lynnwood, and perfect for picnics, meanders and a general sense of well-being. Erasmuskloof is equally well situated to reach a fair number of tourist highlights in Pretoria too, like the Voortrekker Monument, Church Square, and the National Zoological Gardens.
